We don’t just like moving, we LOVE it!

F & Q

Can I pack my clothes in a chest or dresser drawers?

If your dressers/chest are not real wood then you do want to remove the items. Lightweight clothing – sweaters, shirts, blouses, etc. – may be left in solid wood drawers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items such as books, table linens or sheets, which can damage the piece of furniture during transit. Be careful NOT to leave fragile items, money, jewelry, watches or other valuables in the drawers, as well as anything that might spill or leak.

Am I protected against loss or damage while my goods are in transit?

Yes, but how much protection you have and its cost to you depend upon the “valuation” program you choose Full-Value Coverage or Released Rate Liability (60 cents per pound per article). Please ask your move consultant about this.

How and when should I pay?

All local moves require a $100 deposit that legally requires us to do your move. If you book your local move within 24 hours of your move we will need the minimum hourly plus travel fee paid up front (Monday-Friday is a 2 hour minimum and Saturday- Sunday is a 3 hour minimum). If you are doing an interstate move we require $1000 deposit up front then half at the end of the upload and the balance due at the time of arrival at your destination. We accept all major credit cards, cash, money orders, cashier’s checks, and company checks. Sorry, personal checks are not accepted as payment for services.

How long does it take to move?

This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment is traveling.

What is the binding estimate?

A binding estimate specifies in advance the precise cost of the move based on the services requested or deemed necessary at the time of the estimate.

When should I move?

If there is an option, most moving companies suggest that you move during the spring, fall or winter. If you need to move during peak times such as summer, end of month and holidays, it is a good idea to schedule your move more than a month ahead of time.

Do I need an estimate?

We offer complimentary in-home estimates that are competitively and fairly priced.

How will the total charges be calculated?
The actual cost of your relocation will be determined by multiplying the actual hours spent on your move by the hourly cost quoted to you by our estimator. Please recognize that our estimated time for the completion of your move is just that—an educated estimate. As such, the actual time spent to relocate your assets may differ from what we may have estimated.
TRG will not be responsible for delays due to traffic or inclement weather.

How do you charge for partial hours?
The last hour of your move will be prorated by 15 minute increments.

Do you disconnect and reconnect appliances?
First, we highly recommend that you select a licensed electrician or plumber for your appliance disconnect/reconnect needs. However, in the instance you would like TRG Moving to do this task for you, we will request that you sign a liability release form which would absolve TRG Moving from any responsibility in the even that any damages occur to your equipment during the disconnect/reconnect process.

Do all of my boxes need to be sealed?
Yes. All boxes should be closed and tape-up. For best results, all boxes should be as fully packed as possible. Please identify fragile boxes.

What if we have bad weather on move day?
TRG Moving will complete the move if at all possible. TRG Moving WILL NOT be responsible for soiling of carpets due to wet or muddy conditions.

Start times?
Unless otherwise confirmed, morning jobs begin between 8:00-10:00am, and afternoon jobs begin between 1:00-4:00pm. Due to traffic in the Atlanta area, TRG Moving cannot be held responsible for delays out of our control.
